SCAD PORTFOLIO
I am currently a sophomore at Savannah College of Art and Design. Below are my favorite projects from my first year of attendance.

ORGANIC STILL LIFE
2023, CHARCOAL
This is the first drawing I've ever completed using charcoal. Mapping in values, blocking shapes, and gradually adding more detail are among the skills I developed during this drawing. I feel as though I have a better understanding of how objects actually in real life, along with the ability to translate those objects onto paper. The drawing turned out accurate in both the shape and value of the objects.
SEAMLESS REPEATING PATTERN
2023, ADOBE ILLUSTRATOR
The assignment was to create a seamless repeating pattern surrounding a trend relating to your intended major. As a User Experience Research major, I selected the theme of artificial intelligence. Because AI is tied to computers, I used many computer icons in my pattern. I also included retro design elements to display the rapid evolution of computers over the last 40 years.

PELVUS STILL LIFE
2022, GRAPHITE PENCIL
The assignment was to capture the still forms in front of us using graphite pencils. We learned how to bring elements forward, using a darker pencil, accurately sight and measure form, and draw in perspective. Drawing the leaves of the plant was tedious, but the detail adds more interest to the piece. I am happy with the accuracy of this drawing, as it is the 2nd still life I had drawn.
BOTTLE STILL LIFE
2023, GRAPHITE PENCIL
My first still life contained simple, geometric forms that are the foundation of drawing more complicated shapes. I learned how to sight and measure different elements to create an accurate height, width, and placement on the paper. I also learned the importance of line width and overlapping in a drawing to create a sense of dimention.
